      - New, deluxe edition of Patricia Barber’s famed live recordings at The Green Mill in Chicago in 1999 !\r\n

      - Distinctive ultra-luxe Impex 1STEP packaging featuring a deluxe 16 page booklet with exclusive concert photography by Valerie Booth, a remembrance from Patricia Barber, a heavy-stock three-sleeve Monster Pack jacket and striking color-matched slip case !\r\n
      - Strictly limited to 5000 copies !\r\n
      \r\n
1STEP Process 180 gram 45 RPM (2 LP), Pressed on VR900-Supreme Vinyl! Cut Using Original Analog Mixdown Masters by Bernie Grundman! Strictly Limited To 5000 Numbered Pressings ! \r\n
      \r\n
Impex 1STEP N° 5 celebrates Patricia Barber’s 1999 "return” to The Green Mill, Chicago’s fabled jazz club. Conceived as a "companion” to her Grammy-winning studio album Modern Cool, Companion finds Barber and her touring band in inspired form, playfully and energetically performing hits and deep tracks from her celebrated oeuvre.\r\n
      \r\n
The dynamic interaction between the artist and her reverent audience adds a palpable sense of space and community. At the same time, the fans’ hushed attention creates a studio-like sense of precision and detail. The snap and crackle of Barber, her grand piano, and her onstage partners practically leaps off the groove into your listening room !\r\n
      \r\n
Companion’s fan-favorite reputation is enhanced immeasurably by Jim Anderson’s jaw-dropping, life-like recording. Eschewing the crystalline sterility of digital recordings of the time, Anderson’s sound is always warm, natural, and lacking unforced "hype".\r\n
      \r\n
Like Anderson, Impex aims to present great recordings that are as natural and life-like as possible. And we couldn’t wait to put our favorite Patricia Barber release, using Jim’s analog mix-down master tapes, on 180 grams of VR900 Super Vinyl. The deep, inky black backgrounds and absence of surface noise will pull listeners right into those three evenings in 1999, capturing a seminal modern jazz artist at a creative and professional peak and reveling in a perfectly rendered and joyous audio time capsule.\r\n
      \r\n
Finally, our deluxe Impex Treatment packages the whole party with a lovely outer slipcase, a booklet containing a new note from Patricia, and a dazzling array of photographs from the evening by frequent collaborator Valerie Booth, exclusive to our 1STEP. Heavy paper stock with spot gloss coating and a faithfully recreated exterior design will satisfy original fans and aesthetes throughout the music-loving world.

      - Distinctive ultra-luxe Impex 1STEP packaging featuring a deluxe 16 page booklet with exclusive concert photography by Valerie Booth, a remembrance from Patricia Barber, a heavy-stock three-sleeve Monster Pack jacket and striking color-matched slip case !\r\n

Transport yourself to the vibrant streets of Havana with the Buena Vista Social Club's eponymous album, a captivating journey into the heart of Cuban music! Recorded in 1996 by acclaimed producer Ry Cooder, this timeless masterpiece celebrates the rich tapestry of Afro-Cuban rhythms and soulful melodies that have enchanted audiences for generations.\r\n
      \r\n
Buena Vista Social Club is both the name given to this extraordinary group of musicians and the album, recorded in just seven days in 1996 in Havana's 1950s vintage EGREM studios. From the infectious energy of "Chan Chan" to the heartfelt nostalgia of "Dos Gardenias", each track immerses listeners in the intoxicating blend of son, bolero, and guajira styles. Led by legendary musicians such as Ibrahim Ferrer, Compay Segundo, and Omara Portuondo, the Buena Vista Social Club ensemble delivers performances that are as exuberant as they are intimate, capturing the essence of a bygone era while igniting a passion for Cuban music that knows no bounds.\r\n
      \r\n
The acclaim of the original album has elevated the artists (including Ibrahim Ferrer, Rubén González and Omara Portuondo) to superstar status, inspired an award-winning film by Wim Wenders, and has contributed to popularizing Cuba's rich musical heritage. Produced by Ry Cooder for World Circuit, the timeless quality of the music and the sheer verve of the veteran performers have ensured that this will go down as one of the landmark recordings of the 20th century.\r\n
      \r\n

      \r\n
Carlos Santana refused to sit still or commit to one style during his fantastically adventurous stretch in the 1970s. That prolific decade witnessed his namesake band release nine studio albums, one hybrid live-studio double album, and a triple live set. The group’s penchant for exploration and mutation and adopting those constructs into appealing songs that surprise, delight, and inspire flares throughout Inner Secrets, a gold-certified effort that finds the collective reaching heights it would not again realize for another 10 years.\r\n
      \r\n
Sourced from the original master tapes, pressed at Fidelity Record Pressing, and strictly limited to 3000 numbered copies, Mobile Fidelity’s 180 gram 33 RPM LP of Inner Secrets presents the 1978 album in audiophile sound for the first time on a domestic reissue. Part of the label’s Santana series, this collectible version features quiet surfaces and black backgrounds that help expose the critical details, dynamics, and tones that really allow Santana’s music to soar.\r\n
      \r\n
As for Carlos Santana’s signature guitar voicing, spicy leads, and acrobatic solos? Hear them with newfound definition and enhanced clarity all the better to appreciate the dexterity, vision, and soulfulness on display. Those characteristics extend to the contributions from the other players on Inner Secrets, including Graham Lear’s invigorating drumming and David Margen’s foundational bass lines. They form a solid rhythmic foundation capable of veering from disco grooves to moody pop and radio-friendly classic rock.\r\n
      \r\n
Home to three Top 100 singles, Inner Secrets marks another turning point in Santana’s evolution. It is the band’s first project without keyboardist Tom Coster since the latter arrived in 1972. Gone, too, from the lineup is original percussionist Jose Areas. In their places are Chris Rhyme and Pete Escovedo, respectively, with the latter having debuted on the studio portion of the preceding Moonflower (1977). Multi-instrumentalist Chris Solberg counts as the other notable new addition. All three pros play key roles on a work that witnesses Santana moving away from fusion-laden fare and toward mainstream-oriented material.\r\n
      \r\n
Obvious evidence of that transformation arrives in the form of four inspired covers, including renditions of Buddy Holly’s “Well All Right”, Four Tops’ “One Chain (Don’t Make No Prison)”, Classic IV’s “Stormy”, and Traffic’s “Dealer” with the latter tune soldered into “Spanish Rose”. Santana’s focused approach is also reflected in the structures and lengths of the songs. No track lasts longer than six minutes and 15 seconds. Yet the band packs an array of contagious melodies, complex passages, and passionate performances into the tightened-up frameworks.\r\n
      \r\n
In addition to the instrumental prowess, Inner Secrets especially benefits from the singing of Greg Walker. Carlos Santana called Walker’s technique a “combination of street and church music; 'street' being raw, sexy, warm, and naked; 'church' being spiritual, inspirational, soulful, and sincere”. Those elements further punctuate Inner Secrets and ensure the album stands as a bookend to the group’s peak era. Wham!, indeed.

    -description: """
      - Santana Bridges the Divide Between Live and Studio Material on Moonflower : 1977 Double Album Features Extraordinary Performances, Soulful Vibes, and Dynamic Mix of Latin, Rock, Funk, and Blues\r\n
      - Sourced from the Original Master Tapes and Strictly Limited to 3000 Numbered Copies: Mobile Fidelity’s 180 gram 33 RPM (2 LP) Set Plays with Audiophile-Quality Detail, Balance, and Imaging\r\n
      - 1/4” / 15 IPS original analog non-Dolby master to DSD 256 to analog console to lathe\r\n
      \r\n
Though it may seem strange now, Moonflower stood for nearly 15 years as Santana’s first and only live record released in the United States. This despite the fact that roughly half of the double album consists of new studio songs, including a zesty cover of the Zombies classic “She’s Not There” that reached the Top 30 of the singles charts. \r\n
      \r\n
However unconventional, the “split” strategy went over like gangbusters. Moonflower reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Top 200 and achieved double-platinum status feats the group would not again replicate for 22 years. These, and the beautiful quality of the program itself, are among the reasons why the 1977 effort remains viewed by critics and fans alike as must-have Santana.\r\n
      \r\n
Sourced from the original master tapes, pressed at Fidelity Record Pressing in California, housed in a Stoughton jacket, and strictly limited to 3000 numbered copies, Mobile Fidelity’s 180 gram 33 RPM (2 LP) set of Moonflower presents the record in audiophile sound for the first time on a domestic reissue. Part of the MoFi’s Santana catalog restoration series, this collectible version features quiet surfaces and black backgrounds that expose the critical details, liquid tones, and dynamic interplay central to Santana’s music. \r\n
      \r\n
The enhanced sonics extend not only to Carlos Santana’s six-string wizardry, but to the rhythmic, melodic, and vocal elements that course throughout both the studio and live cuts on Moonflower. The grip and depth of the bass lines; the wash of the organ; the scope and carry of the vocals; the extension and weight of the low-end frequencies; the rich textures of the guitars, percussive devices, and keyboards: all appear amid wide, balanced soundstages and image with right-sized dimensionality. \r\n
      \r\n
Significantly rooted in the styles and approaches that inform the group’s first three records, Moonflower captures the final appearances of iconic percussionist Jose “Chepito” Areas and go-to keyboardist Tom Coster on a Santana album. As he did during the preceding five-year stretch, Coster inhabits a large role here, sharing songwriting credits on a majority of the new cuts and helping steer the arrangements toward spiritually minded albeit concise directions that encompass vibrant Latin, rock, and blues themes that began to escape the ensemble shortly after his departure. \r\n
      \r\n
Close your eyes and feel the warmth of the sun on the R&B-kissed “I’ll Be Waiting”, anchored by Carlos Santana’s gliding fretwork and Greg Walker’s creamy vocals. Enter the cosmic universe of “Zulu”, on which Coster’s nimble phrasing opens the gate to polyrhythmic beats, knotty grooves, and interlocking funk. Grab the album cover and drift off to paradise amid the equally evocative “Flor d’Luna (Moonflower)”, a romantic slow dance that Carlos Santana ensures tiptoes en route to its blissful destination. Channeling a different spirit animal, the guitarist later lets loose on the hard-hitting “El Morocco”, on which he seemingly engages in a shootout with himself and wades into the rippling psychedelia that elevated the band’s early material.\r\n
      \r\n
Speaking of the past, Moonflower triumphs on that level as well. In more ways than one, the live selections and the caliber of the performances chosen for inclusion represent an abbreviated greatest-hits survey of the band up to that point. And, at the very least, a convincing argument about why Santana had progressed into one of the most formidable bands you could hope to see on a stage in the mid ‘70s. \r\n
      \r\n
Simultaneously representative and illustrative of the group’s breadth, tracks stem from the collective’s eponymous debut, Abraxas, and Santana III as well as the then-more recent Amigos and Festival. Whether you fall for the sidewinding spell of a spicy rendition of “Black Magic Woman / Gypsy Queen”, lose your head to the positively epic momentum of “Soul Sacrifice / Head, Hands & Feet”, or keep dropping the needle on the savory grace of the brilliant reading of “Europa (Earth’s Cry Heaven’s Smile)”, this pressing of Moonflower puts you and Santana’s first-chapter legacy in good hands.

"This sounds bigger, more luscious, more layering of the keyboards... the drums really do sound an awful lot better. Where there are guitars in the mix, they're picked out better. I said this is probably 95 % of ways this is better. I think you could almost say 50 % of that is Collins's vocal because it is a great vocal performance on this record and on this and on all of the tracks his vocal is richer. Fuller, more colorful, and more expressive". - Dave Denyer, YouTube video\r\n
      \r\n
In the spring of 1983, members of Genesis reconvened at their studio, named The Farm in Chiddingfold, Surrey, to start work on a new studio album, their first since Abacab (1981). Genesis became their first album written, recorded, and mixed in its entirety at the studio room; previously they had to write in an adjoining space. Having the group work in their own space without the additional pressure of booking studio time and fees resulted in a more relaxed environment. They were joined by engineer Hugh Padgham, who had also worked on Abacab.\r\n
      \r\n
AllMusic write s: "Moments of Genesis are as spooky and arty as those on Abacab in particular, there's the tortured howl of "Mama", uncannily reminiscent of Phil Collins' Face Value, and the two-part 'Second Home by the Sea' but this eponymous 1983 album is indeed a rebirth, as so many self-titled albums delivered in the thick of a band's career often are... Anybody who paid attention to 'Misunderstanding' and 'No Reply at All' could tell that this was a good pop band, primarily thanks to the rapidly escalating confidence of Phil Collins, but Genesis illustrates just how good they could be, by balancing such sleek, pulsating pop tunes as 'That's All' with a newfound touch for aching ballads, as on 'Taking It All Too Hard'". - AllMusic reviewer Stephen Thomas Erlewine gives the album 4.5 Stars. \r\n
      \r\n
For fans who appreciate the evolution of the band's music over the years, owning this album is important as it represents a distinctive phase in their career.\r\n

Genesis' album Nursery Cryme, released in November 1971, marked a significant moment in the band's evolution and showcased the burgeoning talents of their new drummer and vocalist, Phil Collins, plus guitarist Steve Hackett.\r\n
      \r\n
Nursery Cryme saw the band take a more aggressive direction of some songs, with substantially improved drumming. The opening piece, "The Musical Box" combined the band's trademark mix of 12 string guitars with harsh electric guitars and keyboards. The song, a macabre fairy story set in Victorian Britain, became the inspiration for the album cover, and went on to be a live favorite.\r\n
      \r\n
This album played a pivotal role in establishing the band's progressive rock sound and laid the foundation for their future success.\r\n
      \r\n
Although Peter Gabriel remained the band's primary vocalist, Collins' distinctive voice began to shine through on tracks like "For Absent Friends" and "Harlequin". Collins' vocals added a new dimension to the band's sound, blending seamlessly with Gabriel's, and hinting at the vocal prowess that would later define his solo career. His emotive and versatile singing style contributed to the album's overall charm.\r\n
      \r\n
Nursery Cryme is regarded as a crucial stepping stone in Genesis' discography, and with time, became recognized as a progressive rock classic. The album received acclaim for its adventurous and intricate compositions, combining elements of folk, rock, and classical music. Genesis' signature storytelling lyrics, often filled with surreal and whimsical imagery, captivated listeners and added depth to the music.\r\n
      \r\n
Critics praised the band's musicianship, with particular attention to the intricate guitar work of Steve Hackett and the melodic basslines of Mike Rutherford.\r\n
      \r\n

      \r\n
Impex Records is thrilled to announce the release of a very special limited edition of Frank Sinatra's historic Sing and Dance with Frank Sinatra on Impex 1STEP! This all-analog 2 LP set adds further narrative substance and sonic greatness to The Voice's first big-band jazz long-play vinyl "concept" album! Impex's 33 1/3 release was a landmark reissue, but this is a whole other level !\r\n
      \r\n
Like all Impex 1STEPs, this audiophile recording is pressed at 45-RPM on high-definition, VR-900 Supreme vinyl for incredible clarity, immediacy and a tonal depth that virtually mirrors the original monophonic master tape. Additionally, the tapes and discs we mastered from have rarely been used by other labels, delivering the original recording sessions closer than releases whose tapes have gone through mastering chains over and over. Silent, flat surfaces provide for near-perfect audio playback without distracting non-fill issues.\r\n
      \r\n
Exclusive to the Impex 1STEP edition are two previously unreleased bonus recordings and an extended version of the "It All Depends On You" Session + Take, where Sinatra capably arranges the musicians in real time !\r\n
      \r\n
The luxurious 1STEP packaging includes a gorgeous 36-page full-color booklet with expanded historical liner notes, unique photos and graphics, and a deluxe slipcase. It provides an excellent listening experience and a "coffee table book" for your living room or den! Just another way you get more from Impex Records !\r\n

      \r\n
When Jascha Heifetz stepped into the studio with Charles Munch and the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the result was nothing less than legendary. Beethoven's Violin Concerto, a work of noble lyricism and timeless beauty, found in Heifetz a soloist of supreme technical command and aristocratic poise. His playing radiates both precision and passion, every phrase polished to brilliance yet never losing its expressive depth.\r\n
      \r\n
Charles Munch, the great French maestro, was a natural partner-bringing clarity, warmth, and a rhythmic lift that perfectly complements Heifetz's elegance. The Boston Symphony, in its Living Stereo prime, provides a luminous orchestral backdrop, captured with the spacious, natural sound that made RCA recordings of the era so prized.\r\n
      \r\n
What makes this album especially notable is the sheer electricity of the collaboration: the world's most celebrated violinist at the height of his powers, paired with a conductor and orchestra who elevate the music to exhilarating heights. For classical music fans, it offers both an ideal introduction to Beethoven's concerto and a reference performance that seasoned collectors return to again and again.\r\n
      \r\n
Mastered by Bernie Grundman from the original 2 track master tape, cut at 45 RPM and plated and pressed at Quality Record Pressings makers of the world's finest-sounding vinyl LPs, no other editions match these for the quietest 180 gram platters available. Each reissue in the RCA Living Stereo 45 RPM Series also includes a special 2 panel insert.

DEFINITIVE MOBILE FIDELITY ULTRADISC ONE-STEP SET INCLUDES OPULENT BOX, FOIL-STAMPED JACKETS, AND MOFI SUPERVINYL LPS PRESSED AT RTI !\r\n
      \r\n
Miles Davis and Gil Evans bridged styles and collaborated on high-concept projects three different times during their celebrated careers. For their final act, they created Sketches of Spain, a peak moment in each luminary's legacy. The transformative album weds Spanish themes, lush orchestrations, romantic timbres, and Davis' increasingly lyrical methods in a tender ceremony that resonates more than six decades after its original release.\r\n
      \r\n
A crucial part of the next phase of Mobile Fidelity's Miles Davis restoration series, the 1960 landmark has been afforded the ultimate white-gloves treatment. Mastered from the original master tapes and pressed on dead-quiet MoFi SuperVinyl at RTI, the label's exquisite UltraDisc One-Step 45 RPM 180 gram 2 LP box set dramatically expands the soundstages and eradicates a dryness that many critics found inhibitive to the record's enjoyment. Listeners can now hear the full perspective long deserved by the woodwinds, strings, and percussion, all of which come alive with unprecedented definition and detail.\r\n
      \r\n
The premium packaging and beautiful presentation of the numbered, limited-edition UD1S Sketches of Spain pressing befit the record's historical importance. Housed in a deluxe box, the reissue features special foil-stamped jackets and faithful-to-the-original graphics that illuminate the splendor of the 1960 LP. Aurally and visually, this UD1S set exists as a curatorial artifact meant to be preserved, touched, and examined. It is made for discerning listeners who prize sound quality and production, and who desire to fully immerse themselves with the album. And who wouldn't want to go deep with Sketches of Spain ?\r\n
      \r\n
Whether it is the somber mood piece "Concierto de Aranjuez (Adagio)", renowned for Davis' flugelhorn performance, or the folktale-based "Solea", Sketches of Spain transfixes with playing, ideas, and innovations exclusive to this incomparable effort. It's one reason why Mobile Fidelity's engineers took every available measure to insert listeners into the space originally occupied by Davis, bassist Paul Chambers, drummer Jimmy Cobb, percussionist Elvin Jones, and an 18 piece orchestra. The results are as breathtaking as the music.\r\n
      \r\n
Multi-note motifs, brief improvisational solos, fanfare sweeps, and contrapuntal exchanges inform flamenco-spiced pieces. Davis' famous Harmon-muted trumpet is complemented by an assortment of bassoons and French horns. Heard together, they create pleasing contrasts and sounds (pp, mf, ppp) that get to what resides at the heart of Sketches of Spain : color. Seldom, if ever, did Davis ever so expressively and liberally paint with color. And in Evans, he has a likewise-minded partner to help draw out tones, shades, layers, and textures. What they achieved continues in the 21st century to draw praise from the entire music community.\r\n
      \r\n

More About Mobile Fidelity UltraDisc One-Step and Why It Is Superior\r\n
      \r\n
Instead of utilizing the industry-standard three-step lacquer process, Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab's new UltraDisc One-Step (UD1S) uses only one step, bypassing two processes of generational loss. While three-step processing is designed for optimum yield and efficiency, UD1S is created for the ultimate in sound quality. Just as Mobile Fidelity pioneered the UHQR (Ultra High-Quality Record) with JVC in the 1980s, UD1S again represents another state-of-the-art advance in the record-manufacturing process. MFSL engineers begin with the original master tapes and meticulously cut a set of lacquers. These lacquers are used to create a very fragile, pristine UD1S stamper called a "convert". Delicate "converts" are then formed into the actual record stampers, producing a final product that literally and figuratively brings you closer to the music. By skipping the additional steps of pulling another positive and an additional negative, as done in the three-step process used in standard pressings, UD1S produces a final LP with the lowest noise floor possible today. The removal of the additional two steps of generational loss in the plating process reveals tremendous amounts of extra musical detail and dynamics, which are otherwise lost due to the standard copying process. The exclusive nature of these very limited pressings guarantees that every UD1S pressing serves as an immaculate replica of the lacquer sourced directly from the original master tape. Every conceivable aspect of vinyl production is optimized to produce the most perfect record album available today.\r\n
      \r\n
      MoFi SuperVinyl\r\n
      \r\n
Developed by NEOTECH and RTI, MoFi SuperVinyl is the most exacting-to-specification vinyl compound ever devised. Analog lovers have never seen (or heard) anything like it. Extraordinarily expensive and extremely painstaking to produce, the special proprietary compound addresses two specific areas of improvement : noise floor reduction and enhanced groove definition. The vinyl composition features a new carbonless dye (hold the disc up to the light and see) and produces the world's quietest surfaces. This high-definition formula also allows for the creation of cleaner grooves that are indistinguishable from the original lacquer. MoFi SuperVinyl provides the closest approximation of what the label's engineers hear in the mastering lab.

"Wonderful, beautifuly listening from start to finish here. ... Guitar driven, blues rock". - Michael Ludwigs, 45 RPM Audiophile, YouTube video\r\n
      \r\n
Recorded straight on the heels of Bad Company's 1974 debut just a matter of three months later; not quite long enough to know how big a success the first LP would be Straight Shooter is seemingly cut from the same cloth as its predecessor. It is, after all, a tight collection of eight strong, steady, heavy rockers that never, ever proceed in a hurry, but from the moment "Good Lovin' Gone Bad" kicks off the proceedings, it's clear that Bad Company have decided to expand their palette this second time around, writes AllMusic.\r\n
      \r\n
The album, released in April 1975, reached N° 3 on both the U.K. Albums Chart and the U.S. Billboard 200. It was certified gold (500000 units sold) by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) a month after its release.\r\n
      \r\n
The jacket for the album was designed by Hipgnosis, who also designed their debut album.\r\n
      \r\n
"Good Lovin' Gone Bad", was released in March 1975 and reached N° 36 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album was released in April. The album's final single "Feel like Makin' Love" was released in August and reached N° 10 on the Hot 100.\r\n
      \r\n
"Feel Like Makin' Love" and "Shooting Star", became classic rock staples due to this expanded aural vocabulary, and even straight-ahead rockers like "Good Lovin' Gone Bad" and "Deal with the Preacher" benefit from this additional muscle, while they feel comfortable enough to settle into a soulful groove on "Anna" and "Call on Me".\r\n
      \r\n
Pressed on 180 gram vinyl at Quality Record Pressings, and housed in a tip-on old style gatefold double pocket jacket by Stoughton Printing, this is the definitive pressing of Straight Shooter and one fans of Bad Company will be proud to own.

      - 180 gram 45 RPM double LP !\r\n

      \r\n
